Join iNERDE's Virtual Mentorship Program

In February, students at Waverley Girls’ High School will begin our after-school STEM program at their local Solar Learning Lab. For six weeks, students will participate in fun, hands-on STEM projects, as well as receive one-on-one mentorships!

iNERDE has partnered with Dell Technologies to create a virtual mentorship program between Global Dell employees and students in our STEM after-school program. Each mentor will tutor their mentee on basic STEM skills for one hour per week while also sharing advice, experiences and expertise on various STEM subjects.

If you are a current Dell team member, sign up here to become a mentor today!

A Solar Learning Lab is a solar-powered refurbished shipping container that has been transformed into a classroom equipped with laptops and WIFI. These labs are in areas with unreliable access to technology and act as a community space, similar to an Internet café.

Dell Technologies in partnership with Computer Aid International and other contributors make these labs possible by offering a cost-effective and eco-friendly opportunity for community members to access technology.

Dell aims to open 100 of these labs worldwide by 2030.

Solar Learning Labs are in the following countries:

  • Mexico
  • Colombia
  • Morocco
  • Kenya
  • Ethiopia
  • South Africa
